Target Audience
Children ages 8-13. Older youth are welcome to learn how to run te(a)ch clubs to make it an on-going activity.
Background
This workshop was co-developed and is delivered jointly by the Pinnguaq Association in Nunavut and the Qaujigiartiit Health Research Centre.
This is a digital literacy workshop for children in which they learn coding and have the opportunity to use tech-based tools to tell their own stories, make-up narratives, and create games. It is a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) initiative, developed to expose children and youth to related activities.
This 3-day workshop for children, youth, and older youth usually takes place after school.
The goal is to have fun and learn important basic information about science and technology.
